~~~ I have died every imaginable death in my dreams every since childhood. It started when I was five and we were having a funeral for the family dog. I asked my older brother why "Poncho" was being buried and what was happening. My brother described death in very graphic details. Needless to say....I had my first death dream that night. They haven't stopped. I have been shot, stabbed, run over by trains, fallen off skyscrapers, choked to death, drowned, burned,hung,eaten by monsters, etc. That part isn't so bad. It's the turning into a cadaver part,and the decomposition, time wasted in a funeral home and the claustrophobic fear of being buried. I look at my dream death experiences as a sneak preview of my someday own demise. It's fun to get scared once in awhile,and they just don't make good spooky movies anymore. If I get overly frightened on rare occasions.....I get up and turn on the lights. It's not so bad. ~~~
I have died in dreams. I can usually tell because I wake up dead.
Joking aside, I have died in dreams. I have been shot a few times and had a heart attack in one. Everything just goes black, and I wake up. Wit the exception of the heart attack dream. I started hearing a ringing in my ears, then everything went black, and for a moment before I woke up, all that remained was the ringing.
Oh, and there was the one where I was shot in the neck. I could feel the warm blood running down my left side, shoulder, back, and chest. I collapsed in the driveway and my head was resting on the concrete. I watched as my assailant approached from across the street looking at me sideways like a dog that hears a strange sound, then I woke up.
As a Dream Walker, I have found that when a person is dreaming that they have either just about died, or died, it is literatlly improbible that a person would, because the future has not been written yet, so the dream is not yet finished, and so that part ends just a second or few before you see those events happen. So No a person can not techniquilly die in their dreams. I you need to learn more, please do not hesitate to ask me some more questions on dream walking or dreams in the future.
I have died and then carried on dreaming before only once...
It was an elevator crash. It was one of the most vivid dreams I've ever had, because I was thinking about the things that I honestly believe I would be thinking if I was actually in a falling elevator...
I'm going to die.
This is it.
I'm never going to get married.
I'm never going to have children.
God, thank you for forgiving my sins... please make this death painless.
Please don't let my family mourn too long.
Thank you for the time I've been allowed...
And then it happened... but I didn't wake up. It was indistinct... then I saw myself at my own funeral. I saw people crying and mourning, and I tried to convince them that I wasn't worth it, and to move on, but they kept acting like I was just another person at the funeral, not me.
I was frustrated, wishing I could have just gone on, wondering why I was forced to see everyone so upset over my death... I was angry, and hated being stuck, and felt hopelessly lost and out of control...
The dream went on, as dreams do, and changed away from the initial "story" of death until I eventually woke.
I don't know if that is what death is really like, but I figured I'd share, just in case you wanted to consider it as a possibility.
I dream a lot...(most of them are scary dreams) and until now, I do not remember, ever, dying in my dreams. I have been in very dangerous situations and I always remember ducking and barely missing gun shots, or escaping in some way like running like crazy from something or someone really wild and crazy dangerous climbing walls (oh man, it was terrifying in the dream...but it's a lil funny now that I look back) or slipping and falling from a mountain etc..but like in the mountain dream, I woke up right before I hit the ground. Quite interesting. Good question!
I have was on the verge of dying in one of my dreams but I woke up from it. I believe you can die in your dreams but when you die in your dreams, you won't wake up. Our dreams are part of the spiritual world and our spirit is part of our dreams, so we die a little when we do sleep. Now, you can understand that if we died in our sleep we'll die in real life. A person can continue on dreaming if their spirit is strong enough. I don't think God would let us die, see what death's like, and still let us live to tell about it.
I have died in dreams, usually when I've given up something I shouldn't have.
Yes, you can die in your dreams. If you do, it takes years to awaken. You carry on with life, but it has little meaning.
I traded writing for my daughter's relationship with her father. He would never have anything to do with her and I dreamed that I had to make a sacrifice. I gave up my writing and my art. I gave up everything, except my journal and then my ex-boyfriend tried to run me over, beat me in the parking lot and the manager threatened to throw me out! I didn't keep a journal.
My ex started going to all of her meets, etc. I started another journal, the ex quit. Maybe it was timing. Frankly, I'm scared to death to write!
I think I've paid my time and my dues.
II had a dream last year in which I died. in my dream, which disturbs me to this day, I died of a heart attack, and I was able to wander around watching everyone as they went on without me. From the moment of my dream "death" time went by quickly, my children grew into adults and raised their own families, and my wife eventually died herself. I awake after watching my wife "die" in old age. Later last year I developed significant heart problems. I have high blood pressure, erratic arrhythmias, and other problems with my valves. My doctor told me that i was going to die if I didn't lose weight, eat right, and get treatment. It’s been a difficult road, and I look at my dream death as sort of a foretelling of things to come. It's not that I believe that you can see the future in your dreams, but I believe that it was obvious that I was leading an unhealthy lifestyle, and my dream "death" woke me up, so to speak, and made me get healthier. Yes, you can die in your dreams, but it's dying in real life which ought to scare you.
In my dreams I am chased by dinosaurs, monsters, aliens but I never die. I only kill them or just hide from them and save my family and friends. This sounds weird: I hope to die(only in my dreams)!!!! If you die I think you will dream what you want and what you believe that after death is.
