In Africa, is the color white consider beautiful?

i was reading an article about different colors in countries and what they mean the most and how cultures think of them.

no im speaking about just colors, not people or ethincity.

Africa has so many beautiful colors in their country it is lush with foliage and nature and just the most beautiful kind hearted loving people. We can learn alot so very much from their ways and their love for life. My brother in law has spent years in Africa, I have never heard any color being anyones favorite. If that were true at all, and where did you read this as I sure have never read any of the sort. you must remember what Africa loved..i would say green red or blue.

what is your question really? are you talking about crayola crayon colors or flesh and blood people it sounds like your asking a race question with out trying to be offensive. in terms of the actual color yes it is concidered beautiful in some parts of africa. its good luck along with yellow, blue, red and black. but i can't speak for the whole continent.

Well, here in Ghana, of course white is the color that you use for weddings, but at funerals, if the mourners are requested to wear white and black dress, it is to signify that the deceased is a "very" elderly person.

I think they like the earth tone colors. Look at the women and mens clothes they are in earth tone colors like brown,orange,yellow and blue.

Technically, black and white are VALUES not COLORS. At least that was what I was taught in art classes.
