My mom says it's 14 just because of the show rating. I am years old and I think I can handle the show's material. I don't think I can wait another season to watch it. By that time, the show will be almost over. Can you try to answer my question?

I hate the whole idea of age ratings, It is a cop out to prevent parents from knowing their own children. I would let a nine year old watch house if they displayed the maturity.

I remember when my son was 11 and his school did not want him to read "To Kill a Mockingbird" because he was too young. This is just nuts parents need to make these choices.

Watch the show kid you'll love it

I would say 13 or 14. Try to be patient, you can always rent the past seasons on DVD. Even I've got to do that to catch up. And as popular as the show is, I don't think it's going anywhere for a long time.

My little guys are 9 and 12 and I let them both watch House, as long as the episodes are re-runs so I've seen them first. They don't mind the gory medical stuff, but if an episode is really gore-heavy or it has a lot of sexual content, I don't let them watch it. They like the show, although I think most of the humor and storylines go over their heads.

My son is 12 and daughter is 14. We all enjoy "House". It may be a little "real" sometimes but you know what's coming and can glance away if you are squimish.
He's just cool how smart and cocky he is.
For House it's about solving the puzzle, he doesn't really care about the human behind it.
As parents, we are very strick on viewing violence and sexual things but I'm ok with House.

Well it depends on how mature you are, but I would say maybe 12. 11 at the earliest maybe. I'm 13, but mature for my age, and I really love it. There are a lot, and I mean a LOT of mature jokes and crude humor, so if you don't like that kind of stuff, maybe wait a bit.

I think 14 is more appropriate. There are some things on there that are quite shocking.

Your mom is just trying to give you your childhood. Enjoy it while you can.

Good luck. :)
