I have a 95 Buick Park Avenue. Every time I start it, the brake warning light shows up on the dash. Along with the annoying ding-ding-ding sound. The brakes and emergency brake are both fine and working good. But the light still comes on and the sound continues the entire time the vehicle is running. Is there anything I can do? Whether it be fixing or disabling a wire or removing a fuse, etc? I can't stand to drive with that annoying sound any more!!! PLEEEZ HELP!!!

any fuse that you remove would most likely also disable the ABS system. You could try to find the module that is doing the "dinging" and remove it. It would most likely be in the fust panel. locate the fuse panel and look for a 3/4" X 1" box with vents in it. or you could just open the fuse box and start the car so you can hear where it's coming from.

The brake master cylinder is designed to hold just the right amount of brake fluid for your brake system.
There are two things to note.

1) As the brake pads wear out, the calipers piston has to move farther out to press on the brake pads. As the piston moves farther out, the area behind the piston becomes filled with more fluid from the master cylinder, and the level of fluid in the master cylinder goes down.

When the fluid level in the master cylinder gets too low, a light should come on indicating that your brake fluid is low.
That does NOT mean you need to add brake fluid. It means your brake pads are VERY close to being worn out.

2) If you add brake fluid today, and have your brakes done tomorrow, when the mechanic compresses the caliper piston ALL the excess brake fluid is going to spill out of the master cylinder all over the engine compartment and make a huge mess. Not to mention ruining your car.

Just a note: Brake fluid does not evaporate. So, unless you have a leak, NEVER add brake fluid.

Have your brakes serviced.

There is a sensor or pressure switch that is located near the emergency brake pedal or lever that actuates this warning. It has failed. Locate it and disconnect it or replace it.
