What is the republican party stance on abortion.

Generally Republicans are against Abortion. However there is a range in views, some like Giuliani are personally against it but would not ban it, to some like Ron Paul who are against abortion. The Republican party is broken up in this way with some for a complete ban, some want Rape and Life exceptions, others want to leave the decision up to the states. The loose construction of the Republican Party makes it hard to say they have a position. The Democrats for Life Caucus is more against Abortion than many Republicans.
