Dogs have about 200 millions smell receptors. They have an amazing record of being able to identify when (and where on the body) people have cancer. Dont know how they do it exactly, but they do. But that doesnt mean youve got it if your dog keeps sniffing you!

I saw a piece on t.v. about that. This dog kept nudging his owners bum and when the guy went to the doctor he had prostrate cancer and then the dog did the same to the lady's breast and sure enough she had breast cancer. The neighbor came over and the dog was at his bum too, the lady didn't know if she should tell him to go to the doctor.

There have been several studies that prove that dogs can smell cancer from the person's breath.

YES they can
A lady owned this springer spaniel and it started pawing her leg and it kept on doing this everyday and the lady didn't know why (btw she had a couple of moles on her leg which the dog seemed to be pawing at) so she went to the doctor and they found one of the moles was cancerous.
And there are quite a few other cases

i watched a documentary a few years ago and they did different tests with dogs to see if they can identify cancer. the conclusion was they could. one dog owner had some kind of wound on her leg and it wasn't healing, and her dog just kept licking it constantly. it turned out it was skin cancer. so if i was to answer based on what i watched, then i would have to say yes. no-one has proved otherwise.

I've heard and read that they can. There's actually a scientific study going on somewhere and the dog actually detects the cancer like 98% of the time. With NO false positives! That's amazing!

I once watched a programme and the dog kept licking his owners sore leg , she had a sore on it of some sort , anyway the dog kept licking her leg as to clean it perhaps but she went to the dog and a melanoma was confirmed , so i think dogs can pick up on things with their owners

people can too
if you've ever been in the cancer ward of a large hospital, you'll notice that part smells VERY different from the rest of the place
