Little Birds by Anais Nin. Very good writing, interesting stories, and very sexy. Poetry by Sappho, William Blake, or Baudelaire.

Harry Potter! OK...so it might be a little nerdy...but it really is the most awesome series of books you will EVER read..i am telling you the truth...seriously you get addicted...i am a 15 year old girl in highschool my friends always make funny of me because i am constantly re-reading them at cheer practice and volleyball and it looks really weird = ]. Ha ha but i don't care it is AWESOME! you should SO read them....read the first book (harry potter and the sorcerer's stone)... and you are hooked for life

THERE NOT JUST FOR NERDS EITHER! I don't know why people say there are...is just a rumor.

I don't know your ages, but if you're in your teens and like video games and best friends stories I think you might like my novel GAMEPLAYER: The Genesis Portal.
GAMEPLAYER follows the adventures of Nine-dog, Gator and Louie; three racially diverse buddies growing up in the skateboarding, video gaming obsessed Santa Monica, California beach life-style.
Their lives revolve around school, skateboarding and video gaming until a bizarre encounter with a run amuck video game propels them into a deadly world of terror, murder and intrigue.
It's available at the normal online sites like amazon, B&N, Borders, etc. and as an ebook on mobipocket.com.

Not meant as a commercial just a suggestion,
Gary Anderson

Well it might sound dorky but my wife loves the Harry Potter books as well as Tiwlight and New Moon by Stephanie Meyer. She got me reading them (they're quick, easy reads) and it was fun to talk about what we thought would happen next, etc.

It depends on what you are looking for, intellectual, romantic, sexual, what? One could always try the Snow White series by Anne Rice ... that's pretty wild.
