If you're anything like me, listen to this. If you're not, trash my advise.............

I was in sales for over a couple of years and found that before every sales call, I grew uncomfortable. That a lot of other things made me find my own solution to sales. Change to doing something which comes naturally to you, and which you can excel in. The world isn't created by salespersons alone.

Don't listen to people who say - "Are you a quitter?"

Remember you have only one life and you can either spend it doing something you can do better and having a happier life, than doing something you had rather not be doing and having a bad time.

Wish you all the best in your quest towards better salesmanship.

Cold calls (I hate them too) I have no problem following up in other ways though or once on the call because I love the products and feel if you don't try it - or want to it's the persons loss - but making myself follow up is hard. But it's part of sales -

I suggest to my team they read small sales things every day
one right now is don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff by richard carlson -
and with every sales tip you get do what "you" like and works for you give it a whirl.

My guess is you're not afraid of ALL parts of the job. Think about what part of the sale you're afraid of. Is it cold calling? Is it asking for money? Try to find a book called "ROI Selling." Not many copies printed.
