I might be getting a new computer, but I have iTunes with songs on my current computer. Is there a way to transfer my account without having to download iTunes all over again?

Downloading and re-installing iTunes isn't a big deal. The issue is moving the music files. To do that, when you first plug in your iPod to the new computer running iTunes. iTunes will offer to copy the "paid for" music from the iPod to the new iTunes library.

Once you do this you need to de-authorize the old computer.

If you have music that isn't purchased you need to transfer it another way. The easy way would be to copy the music with a memory stick. The iTunes music is located in mymusic/iTunes/(with sub directories for each artist)

no it won't. i have tried that did it didn't work for me. try this it is a free download i used it and it worked for me. what it does is it copies the music off ur ipod and puts it into a file on ur comp or ur new comp in other words.then u will have all ur songs and u can keep adding.
