Yesterday is the Past
Tomorrow is the Future
Today is the Present
Let the Past stay there where it belongs, in the past! Since it is in the past one would think it has been dealt with already. May never forget some things, but don't dwell on things that have already gone by.

As any historical project is dealt with. You think about it, analyze it and have thoughts as to what, why, where, when and how you could have done it better and whether or not you would do it again or learned anything from it. Then you put the thoughts away for another time and go on..

realize you were responsible for it..give it no place in the now and forgive everyone that you have anything held from it..so you can release into the present a clear heart not filled with anything that can haunt you...best of all remember it is the past and it cant hurt you any longer.

Detach from it by "unlearning" what you believe to be true about yourself - based on past imprints/experiences. Until you "reframe" all of the memories that have defined your sense of identity you can never wholly be present. We compulsively fear that past hurts will reoccur in the future hence we are never awake and alive in the present.

GET A DIVORCE!!
You must understand that you are not your past. You do not want to remain married to it. As long as you believe you are your past, it defines who you are, what you can do, what's possible in your life. You are powerful, loving, peaceful, extraordinary, and far greater than anything you have experienced in your past. Think on that.

Learn from it and forgive yourself. If you don't learn you will find yourself running in circles. And if you don't forgive yourself you'll become introverted and possibly develop a guilty conscience or disorder.
