Folks there has to be a better way other than Destroying People and Property.... Why can't we all Live in Peace? Your Thoughts?

i agree with you.but it;s the politicians who start the wars not the people.they reason if we can;t talk to them then lets start a war with them to make them listen.if people all over the world would just say no to war we;d all be in a much safer world for sure.but if you don;t bear arms when your government tell you to then you either go to prison or you;re shot to death.depending on what country you;re from.until people all over stand up for peace it will never come for sure.

What do you think peace is? Is it the absence of war, of fighting, or of destruction? The only peaceful resistance that was successful was in India, by Ghandi. That only worked because he understood the British, having been schooled in England. The Indians were slaughtered by the thousands during their 'peace movement', but Britain gave in. They being 'civilized', no longer wanted to commit such atrocities against people who were not resisting. People whose only goal is to amass power have no limit as to what atrocities they are willing to commit. Everyone wants to bring out Hitler as the gold standard for this, but what about Stalin (killed millions!), Saddam Hussein (gassed his own people and threatened neighbors), or the Darfur Genocide that is taking place right now (don't fool yourselves into thinking its religious, they want the land). It takes a strong person to stand up to thugs whose only drive is greed. It is peace through strength that is true peace. It is naive to think that all people want peace, bullies and thugs will always prey on the weak in some way or another. Peace is not the absence of fighting it is being secure that you have the ability and heart to prevent bullies and thugs from acting. When the bullies and thugs see that, they stop trying to take through force what is not theirs.

Well what the hell else are you supposed to do when someone decides they want to destroy you, just throw up a peace sign and say " why don't we all just get along "?. After they put a bullet in you then what?. Some people, ideologies, and now religionscouldn't care less about peace, or getting along or anything else, their only concern is killing you if you're not one of them and the sooner you and people like you who seem to see things through rose colored glasses over rose colored contacts get that maybe we'll be able to get down to doing what it is we need to do rather than go at it half way all the time like we're doing now and getting our butts kicked for it all the time. Please, move off of 1010 Fantasyland Lane.

We dont bring war, they bring it to us.
why should we stand by and watch other countries take other countries over and oppress them ... someone has to babysit these idiots, do you not remember what happened in WW2? Give them an inch and then they want the whole world. Or you can go to a coffee shop and beat on bongos and read poetry hoping it will just go away .

The real world is not an episode of the Care Bears. You can't make the "bad" things vanish by just wishing it so. Sometimes you have to make a stand, and that means people are going to get hurt.

and we will all ride unicorns and fly on winged horses.(sarcasm) it is the hitlers and the pol pots of the world who try and rule the people instead of the reverse. that is why democracy is so hard to establish. wars are started by thugs and mostly ended by good people with good intentions. cain and able are a great example. some people are just not happy, no matter what. and for peace to happen you would have to get rid of the radicals on all sides. that in itself would start a war.

You're kidding right? You can't get 10 people in a room to agree on anything, how are you going to get the millions of this worl too? There are too many reglious, political and individual fractions to make that work!
Beside world war thins out the over populated areas!

So long as there are those who are willing to take that which does not belong to them; be it land, be it freedom, or be it their very lives there will be wars. Not all wars are just, but some are, and they are of the utmost importance.
