Also, will giving them raw meat bring back undesirable instincts?

No, male ferrets do not get wild as they age. However, when adrenal disease strikes (as it does in most) they may become aggressive. Treating with lupron usually solves the problem.

Feeding raw meat will not cause undesirable behaviors. In fact, many believe a raw meat diet is healthiest.

As for natural instincts, a ferret never loses them.

LOL, no. male ferrets are much more laid back than female ferrets. they make the best snuggly pets EVER.

um... please don't feed your ferret raw meat. that will surely make it sick and die. once an animal is domesticated it will not regain "undesirable instincts". domesticated ferrest (which you get from the pet store and such) can't be put in the wild. they will die. they don't know how to hunt or anything. they've been domesticated and are a TOTALLY different breed from wild ferrets. that's why they look different. i have taken three VERY sick ferrets because people thought they could put them outside. they couldn't use their hind legs they were so sick.

give your ferret a balanced diet. buy it ferret food to eat everyday like you would a dog and water as well. as treats they LOVE raisens, chopped up banana, and chopped apple.

Male ferrets don't get wild as they age...I don't think- maybe yours is having a second child hood:). I have a female ferret and she is a lot more wild then male ferrets I have seen....but she is calming down as she gets older.

As for feeding him meat...I don't know honestly I wouldn't suggest it though

Uhh...no.

And...I really wouldn't recommend giving your ferret raw meat. You really would be risking bacterial contamination.

I think you are citing myths or urban legends about ferrets. lol :)
