I saw Michael Moore on GMA the other day talking about his new documentray "Sicko" he mentioned that medical care in America is surrounded too much by greed. This got me thinking. I went to an asian country a few years ago and I feel that those doctors are more driven by greed than doctors in the US. I once volunteered in a hospital where they cared for you first and worried about the bill later. If you couldn't pay the bill who cares you were already treated. That was unheard of when I brought that up in the asian country. So I'm curious, how is the medical system in other countries? Preferably third world. Also did you witness this first hand?

Plese do not comment about what you think of Michael Moore. He is complete irrelevant to this. It's just the point that he brought up that got me thinking. I won't say whether I'm a fan of his or not.

I have traveled this world over several times. I have not been in all countries, but very many. The absolute best medical care is found in the USA, and has been all along. Greed is a factor in most countries that actually have a medical system. The real truth is that most countries have no medical care. Countries with socialized medicine are almost as bad as no care. If you are one of the lucky few that get through-you are treated well, all the rest die while waiting in line.

In my experience as someone in the medical field, micheal moore is right. The doctors are more "wanting to help the patients etc" it's the hmo/insurance companies that is the problem. If they will not pay for a certain treatment, the dctor cannot do it out of pocket plus the hospital may not be able to foot the bill so the patient is left out in the cold, again not because of the doctors but because of the insurance companies. That is what micheal moore's sicko is all about the illusion of secured healthcare that insured americans have is a delusion.

Hmmm, Michael Moore complaining about greed.
I wonder how much money he takes home a year for his bs?
He's fat as a pig, too. Imagine how many people he could feed if he went on a diet.

How can he be irrelevant if he is selling you bs?
