I can only answer for what I know about one16 year old girl. Her father left drinking and doing drugs. He abandoned her and her mother. She had a good life before he left. Her mother could not afford the things that her father could afford for her when he was home. She felt rejected, abandoned and hopeless. She loved her father very much and he ran out of her. She was an only child and her father took her many places and made her feel very special. And one day, all of this was gone. She blamed herself because the last time they went somewhere together he got mad at her for wanting something.
Children of divorce, blame themselves and become angry. They show self-hatred tendencies which reflect violence and anger.
Often the mother will throw in a step-father which makes things worse. Kids want only one mother and one father and no extras. If the parents can't stay married, then after the divorce they need to stay single until the children are grown.
They need to take responsibility for messing up their lives and their children's lives.
There is no such thing as casual sex because this act can bring a child into the world. Marriage is a very serious thing.
Never marry someone who you love and don't like.

I think teens live entirely for their music, video games, terrible television programs, idiotic movies (which are all remakes), and those crappy Harry Potter books. All of these media are currently pumping out the most disposable cultural movement in history. It's a new Dark Age (another remake) that has been brewing since the end of World War II. It's in full force now.
I don't blame teens if they are a little moody every now and then.

Ive worked with children as a social worker for almost 10 years and what it still comes down to is that if they do not have a solid foundation at home, they have a greater chance to fall for all of the negative things that bombard them every day. Girls especially are being given the message that they need to be sexual, but also be on the same level as boys and to an extent are being encouraged to act like boys in many actions, including physical aggression. We all want our children to be self confident, but many of these children have false confidence and use their own pain to make it ok to hurt others. There are actually many books on the subject, I listed one in the source. Hope this helps.

Many get away with a lot more than we would have at that age. It is partly the laws, kids use that to their advantage. I think it also depends on upbringing. I have seen some teenagers that are still pretty decent and others are really bad. Girls in particular? I don't know if I have noticed girls being worse than boys.

I've noticed that too, little girls now a days want to be cool and rebellious like the boys. They think they are tough, use foul language. Just look at the facts, female prison populations are up, so are chick gangs. They try to be like men, maybe it is rap music and drugs, definately culture.

Honestly parents don't have time to raise their kids. You either have both parents working to make ends meet or the parents are single and working two jobs to survive.
We don't know what our kids are doing anymore with cell phones, texting, the Internet and television. There's is no discipline or morals being instilled in our children what until they have to take care of us...scary!

Their parents are letting them run wild and not supervising them/disciplining them enough. If I had acted like the majority of the kids today do when *I* was a teenager, I would have had my @ss beaten daily. I really don't know what's wrong with them... It's kind of sad to know that this is our future...

Not all teenagers are all violent and angry! I'm a girl thats 16, and i'm not really like that...yeah, i have my moments, but not often....
Maybe its all the technology lol...i dont really know. Maybe its the drugs that some teenagers are doing (not all!!!!). Or maybe its that we are really misunderstood....

Why do some men abuse women? It is not only women. Women have learned to stand up for themselves. I wouldn't say they are "violent" and "angry" though some are mean (my ex) but it is all about peer pressure, domestic issues and etc.

Some teens hold in too much anger and cant think of other ways to let their anger out and others just try to impres their friends or be someone their not.
