Congratulations !
No If its your first baby you will probably see a bump around 15-17 weeks. But every woman is different, some do start showing early even if it is there first pregnancy.
Moreover, it depends what size and shape you are to start. Very plump or tall gals may not look noticeably different to friends until they reach the 5th month or later. Quite thin gals might start noticing an orange-sized uterus by the time they reach 10 weeks in a first pregnancy.
If you were thin or flat stomached before pregnancy, you can start showing around 4-5 months. It won't be much more than a small bulge but it will get bigger quickly during the next few months.
Hope that helps.

It was a long time ago (1990) that I was pregnant with my first (I was 33 years old) and I marveled at how long it took me to "show." She was born in early February (full term) but I was able to hide from some folks that I was pregnant until September or October (don't know how many weeks that made it). By around the end of November, though, I could have used my stomach to play a game of solitaire if I wanted to -- everyone said that I carried "very low" and that I didn't look pregnant from behind. Everyone carries differently and every pregnancy is different. I remember from my checkup in August that my doctor was upset with me for not gaining any weight. I was still able to wear a size 2 skirt and could spin it around my waist! Oh well, was able to get away with not having to buy maternity clothes for quite a while!

Now with my son (six years later) things were much different. I swear I looked like I was due very soon only a few days after I found out I was pregnant. I guess maybe one's body learns how to expand faster after the first one! When my work buddies had a shower for my husband and me in January that year, no one could believe that I wasn't due until April -- I guess it seemed like I had been pregnant forever!

Best wishes to you and your firstborn-to-be!

I didn't start showing until I was nearly 16 weeks. I think it just depends on your body size. Just make sure you are eating right, not smoking, or doing drugs or drinking and get regular checkups at the doctor to make sure the baby and you are okay.

Congratulations!

nah, Im just now showing at 6 months. First baby for me too.
It all depends on you and the baby though, if you are showing it should be a problem. But if your not, dont worry, it will come.. and then when it does.. your like oooo man!

No. I didn't show till 5 months with my daughter. This is your first, you probably won't show for a while. I'm having twins this time and started showing around 9 weeks, but it's different with twins.

It's different w/ everyone...1st babies show later, body type plays a factor....I didn't start to show until around week 11-12, but it looked more like a tummy, not a baby tummy :)
