ok i'm gonna be senior this year and i wanted to get into great school. but my grade isn't that great. in my 9th grade i got all A's. In my tenth grade i got all a's b's and 2 c's. but two c's i got was in really hard and useless class that was supposed to be current enrollment history and human biology but ended up being normal. and only three kids was in my history class including me and nobody got higher than c and same with my bio class. and what made me mad whas that they didn't even give me college like they promised. in my junior year i got all a's b's except in my geology class i got c. but thing is that 75% of my classes are college classes and i'm getting my associate degree when i graduate from high school. Also, i came to u.s like four years ago. so my english isn't great. i want to major in medical field and be a plastic surgeon so i really need to go to GREAT university with scholarship. what can i do?

This is a tough one. Normally, I would suggest that you go to a community college and do really well, so that you could transfer to a 4-year college with a terrific GPA. The problem is that you have already closed out that option by getting an associate's degree along with your diploma.

There is some information missing here; when you tell us that you have all a's and b's with 3 c's, I don't know what the balance of a's and b's is, or how many classes you had altogether, so I can't calculate your GPA and get a sense of what sorts of school you might get into. I have to tell you that first of all, the English excuse probably won't fly because you DID manage to get all A's in 9th grade, so it obviously wasn't your reason for doing poorly later on. Also, your chances for a scholarship, unless you are a terrific athlete or something, are very slim, given that you don't have a very high GPA (I haven't seen too many given to people with less than a 3.8). You may need to count on grants, if your family's income is low, loans, and things like work-study to get through college.

The good news is that not all physicians have gone to GREAT universities. Make sure you do well on the SAT, and you can probably get into a decent one (the GREAT ones are really competitive, and you may just not qualify at this point). If you do well there, you stand a chance of getting into a good medical school. Pick one with adequate science facilities, since you will need to take science classes to get into medical school.

I don't need to be negative, but I'm afraid that there are plenty of people out there who got through bio, geology and history with As, and don't buy the nonsense some people will tell you that "If you want it badly enough, it will happen." The fact is, that most of us have to suboptimize at times.

Ummm... Spiderman. First of all... Peter Parker is a man or woman we will all relate to.. a ill aunt.. a useless uncle... college main issue.. woman main issue.. An daily hero if you'll. Second of all... He has top notch human potential!! Batman has no top notch human potential! He is only a hard man in a go well with with gadgets and stuffs... Spiderman! Spiderman!

work yourself to all As this year. It will balance out. Also the SAT/ACT scores will weight more than your 4 years in h.s.
