Recently , an adult acquaintance referred me to Fred Meyer's Jewelers. He was kind enough to talk to the manager and put in some good words for me. I will be interviewing there in a couple days. I dont know much about jewelry. Does anybody have some basic knowledge about jewelry that will help me be more prepared for the interview?

STUDY, Study, Study!!!
Study all about gems and jewels and different types and what they look like.

I suggest going to a library, and get as many books as you can to study.
Don't take this too calmly, thats a good job to get but you need to know everything you can to help others out.

A tip is to wear some REAL jewerly yourself. Not diamond but others like Garnet. Why? Because it will make you look nicer (you know the ladies there wear jewerly xD) and you can describe quickly if he asks what your wearing.

Good luck hun!
And remember, if you went to a jewerly store, would you want somebody to know nothing about the piece you need help with?
=D
