He's already had preferential treatment having had 5 suspensions. His license should have been yanked after 2nd or 3rd, again someone is dead as a result.

The article says the investigation is continuing. Prosecutors won't decide whether to charge him or what to charge him with until it's complete. I'd say, given his record and the fact that he ran a stop sign, odds are pretty good that he will face charges of vehicular manslaughter. Wait and see before you start complaining about preferential treatment.

What happened to his friend was terrible, but I wouldn't consider this to be preferential treatment because of his status as an athelete. Truth is, that state has weak laws for drivers with repeat offenses. And it so happens that he has the $ to pay any fines that's given to him. Most people don't have the $ to pay fines right then & there. We all have heard that $ talks and BS walks.

That is one terrible news, and i really hate to see

people writing craps about jr smith and ordinary person was dead for his mistakes..

I think something has to be done regarding this..

I don't care how talented he is. The Nuggets need to get rid of this guy. The guy is going to be nothing but bad influence on other players.
