$250 plus per a week on groceries. We have a lot of kids. $30 a month max on alcohol. When we do drink, it is usually wine.

I don't spend any money on alcohol, no one in my family drinks (which is awesome, I am continually thinking of all the money we save!!). And I spend about $350-$400 per month on groceries, so it's probably close to $100 per week. But I live in southern California, so my groceries may be more expensive that elsewhere in the country. And I have a family of four.
Oh yeah, I'm a big coupon person too, so I save about $20 per shopping trip with coupons.

About $100 to $150 a week on groceries. We usually only buy alcohol a few times a year.

Alcohol zero unless we need something for a recipe. We already have a wine chiller full from catering gigs.
We normally go to the Pasadena farmer's market once a week and don't spend much except at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.
$50-60 per week on average since produce is very inexpensive at the markets for a top quality, farm raised selection.

$0 on alcohol... tastes bad to me.
Appx $150 a month on groceries. (for 1 person)
*****************
Going beyond your question:
Overall budget is... I spend less money than I have coming in.
I use a credit card, but I pay the FULL BALANCE every month. If the money isn't in the bank already... I don't buy.
To do otherwise is poor financial management.
No credit card debt.
No car payment.
No house payment! I own it free and clear.
I can afford to buy just about anything that I want... despite having less than "poverty level" income. (which just means I make less than some percentage of the avergage income in the US...)
The only reason to not be able to afford a good life is because of being stupid with your money.
