Enangelist Pastor-Rev. Ted Haggard said that he was cured of his LUST for young boys!

Is such a mental and psychological state cureable?

Not really,you cant exactly cure the mental state. You can cure the part where they actually ACT on it though but barely.there is still a risk that they may act on it though. Usually logic and fear will cure the part where they act on it because they have no desire to be in trouble with the law .(who would?)

Yes, they can be. I was a pedophile from the age of 15 to 22 (I have a normal attraction for more than six months now). I didn't have victims, fortunately, and the attraction turned to normal a few months (or less) after another person who overcame it talked to me about it. They need to do two things: one is not worrying about how others see them. This may sound odd, but trust me, it is connected to the attraction. And the other is, that they need to look into their past (childhood), if they have something similar to this (this is my story): When I was a child (in school), I was always an outcast, so my ego was very strong. I tried desperately to be 'cool', even to the point where I was almost like a "lap dog", meaning that I was all for just being accepted. And then it got to sexual things, I thought; I believed that I needed to be dirty, kinky with my peers, I believed that I had to be sexually attracted to girls of my age (note that this was still in elementary school, when I way less than 10 years old), I thought had to find them 'hot', but kids can't genuinely feel that, so I faked it. So these are the two things, and perhaps the strong desire. I don't know why is it so widespread to claim that it is incurable, when it is so easy to undo, cuz it's not a real sexuality, but a fake one, on top of one's true sexuality.

It is curable. Of this fact there is much evidence.
However, the evidence also indicates that thare is a high element of recidivism in the child sex arena therefore one must be cautious and wise in accepting that anyone convicted of such a crime is cured.
To believe that there is no cure is safer and more likely to be correct for the majority of child sex offenders.
I say there is no sensible or responsible reason to ever provide an opportunity of trust where a once convicted rapist is presented with any form of temptation

Precisely when did Ted Haggard become accused of being a Pedophile?
Yes he is a Bigot.
Yes he is a Homosexual.
Yes he claims to have been cured.
At no time have I ever read of anything accusing him of molesting a young child.
Homosexuality and Pedophilia are Unrelated.

I think in most cases, yes! It really depends on that person who wishers to change with the help of medication as in the treatment for schizophrenia and other related psychiatric conditions.

Radium is a good source of injections combined with electrodes to the brain at high voltage. The higher the better for the treatment for paedophilia.

No. Ted Haggard was and is,,,, I have no world for him. He blamened it on drinking at 1 st! I've been drunk before, Never changed my sexual orientation. He's a liar and is not taking responsibility for what he did. He's trying to wiggle out of it "it's not my fault" A very bad christian and a worse human.

Well, whether they can be cured or not, they are still too risky to be near any more children unless they are DEFINATELY cured. It's too much of parents to have to live knowing what sort of creeps are drooling over their children just to give some sicko another chance. They made the choice, it's their fault.

No a pedophile CANNOT be cured. Its like being an alcoholic. You can get help, go through the withdraw, and learn to control your urges but you are never cured and you can lapse at anytime.

Once a pepophile always a pedophile! Just as with an alcoholic... once an alcoholic always an alcoholic!

All sex criminals can cure themselves. If you send them to Saudi Arabia they will discover that they can cure themselves or be cured. If a sex criminqal can stop under extreme chance of being beheaded that day they can stop anywhere. We need instant laws that cure now.

Pedophiles in my opinion should be locked up and the key tossed away. Crimes against children are the lowest of the lows. Our children need protecting from these animals, and in my opinion locking them up is the only answer. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but it is how I feel.
