Wearing a bra while you sleep does not prevent your breasts from sagging. A bra is only helpful when you're walking around or standing. Gravity pulls your breasts down, that's why it's important to wear a bra any other time, not while you're asleep. If you have tiny breasts, wearing a bra isn't going to make a bit of difference anyway. I haven't heard that it wouldn't make you're breasts grow though. It prevents your muscles from relaxing when you sleep and I think it causes back pain. Research it.

A bra won't restrict growth, but it CAN cause severe skin irritation and possible infections of the skin folds. You should only wear a bra to sleep in if you've been specifically told to do so by your doctor.

A bra is meant to support the breast matter when you are in an upright position (i.e., sitting or standing). So unless you sleep standing up, you have NO need to sleep in a bra.

What is true is that if you wear a tight bra, your rib cage won't grow as well as it should (has little effect on your breasts), which would have some visual effect on how clothing fits. Sortof the corset effect. If you feel the need to wear a bra at night, get a stretchy one and use that. Less interference with growth.

I don't think it's true

Wow, I can't believe how many people on here say they sleep with a bra on! Even before I had reduction surgery and was a DDD, I could never stand to sleep with a bra on. Why does anyone want to be constricted when sleeping?!

i don't think it's true, that's what my mom used to say, but now she just says that its not comfortable to sleep with a bra on. my sis (17yrs old) and mom don't wear a bra to sleep, but i do most of the time anyway, because i just feel weird without one. i have smaller breasts than my sister but that's how its always been, because she is a bit chubbier than i am. my point is i really don't think it affects your breast growth if you sleep with a bra on, it all has to do with genetics and a bit with your diet (chubbier people have slightly bigger breasts).

No thats not true, however wearing a bra when you are a sleep can be quite uncomfortable and it isn't that great for growing boobs!

It's going to grow (or not) no matter what...I do believe (this is my own myth; however, I think it makes sense), it is not good to wear a bra too early anyway...shouldn't the musles supporting your breasts have a chance to really develop, too??? I mean, if your breasts are being supported from the outside from day one on....

No it's not true. But it's very uncomfortable though. Somehow there are a lot of urban legends and old wives tales that say if you give something resistance it'll be smaller. My mom told me that if I wore shoes all the time my feet wouldn't be so big. I walked around barefoot all the time and my feet aren't enormously huge.

No thats not true. Although wearing a bra when you go to sleep will prevent your boobs from sagging (especially if you sleep on your stomach because you're squishing your boobs). Wow everyone who's thumbing my down knows this is true and probably had to learn it the hard way. Jealous jealous people...
