where do you get hedgehogs and how much do they cost?

im thinking about getting one, they are so cute!!! and i have no idea where they are sold or how you get them or how much they cost.

Pet stores, and around 150.00 to 250.00 dollards depending on where you live..

hedgehogs are not exotic animals like the previous posts state. I have seen them for sale in average pet stores.

Personal experience here....they are nocturnal and will keep you up all night trying to dig out of the aquarium or cage.....also, they are quite skiddish and hard to make comfortable around people and loud noises. I think mine was around 50 to 75 dollars but that was in 1999.....I truly suggest not getting one though, just a suggestion.

I used to have one. I got it at the pet store. They are SOOO awsome. They also make great pets. BUT that was 10 years ago. I dont think its legal to keep them anymore. But im not sure. U can look at ur state laws to find out if its legal.

I don't think you can buy them in pet shops, why not go to a rescue centre and adopt or sponsor one? There are plenty of hedgehogs in hedgerows, undergrowth etc. but I think they are better to be left wild.

I get hedge hogs from my hedges and I see them for a dollar two ninty eight.
