My period came last June 07 and last month on May 10. How can I identify my ovulation period and my safe period to have sex? I want to have sex without using any birth control, natural or artificial methods.

after you have sex sperm can live in your body for 8-10 days so that's not really the safest thing to be trying to do if you are worried about getting pregnant you should use birth control and even that's not100% so maybe you should concider not having sex until you are married and ready to take on that type of responsibiliy but here are some ways you can try if you are determined.....smile

What you are describing is the rhythm method and you must be very "in tune" with your body for this to truly be an accurate form of birth control. I am assuming that you are willing to be a mother if it fails.
Start counting the fist day of your period. This is day one.
You are most likely to conceive on or around the 14th day after that; give or take a day or two. Keep in mind that sperm can live in your body for about 2-3 days.
There are some things you can buy that can help you keep track of your days, I know there is a bead string that you make the first bead respresent your period and don't have sex on any of the different colored beads. This is actually a very good form of birth control for women, no hormones, however I stress you must be very in tune with your body and it's signs of ovulation. Read about it, try googling "how to do rhythm method." While your at it, look up "changes in cervical mucous" you can actually check your cervical mucous and see if conditions are favorable for conception or not. Good Luck.

I don't believe there is a safe period each month. Using the rhythm method may work but nothing is 100% with the exception of abstainance. You are taking a risk when having unprotected sex, and abortion is NOT birth control.

I have to agree with Suliah that the only safe period for you to have sex is when you want to get pregnant. If you want to use the rhythm method you have to be:
1. Be really fine-tuned to your body. If you're asking the rest of us about your own menstrual cycle, my guess is you're not too aware of exactly what is going on in your body.
2. You have to be aware that every woman's safe period is not the same.
3. You have to be aware that your own safe period changes from cycle to cycle. You may ovulate earlier or later due to stress, illness or unknown reasons.

So unless you're prepared to be pregnant, use some sort of contraception. If you don't want to use hormonal methods, you can use condoms or an IUD.

safe period sex

There is no safe time to have sex without a condom. There is always a risk of STDs. People forget about STDs and STIs and they should always keep that in mind!! And since the menstrual cycle can be unpredictable at times, no safe time to risk getting pregnant.

My dear ! To make it clear and transperent I must say there is no such safe period. Still it is beleived 5 days befoere your period starts and 5 days after your period ends it is safe to have sex withot any condoms or contraceptive pills(in view of not getting pregnant, but there is high risk of sexual transmitted diesese-STD) . Within 5days of period eggs either imatured or going to die hence imcapable of production. If the interval mentioned by you is regular then it seems your's is a 26 days cycle. But you have not mentioned the duration of your period. Hence U can calculate yourself or can contact back

"Though the chances of pregnancy during periods are usually low during periods, they exist for all women. During periods, the chances of pregnancy are comparatively lower at the onset of a woman's period and increase just after her periods. The truth is that there is no predictable time during the month when the risk of pregnancy can be said to be absent."
