But kitchen's always the place that tell you the most!! It can tell how the chief is handling the food and how "hygienic" of where the food is stored. You are going there to take a meal but not going to take a tour visit to their restrooms. So restrooms are not that important if it comes to evaluate the places.

Restrooms aren't the biggest clue. Everybody's working, they don't know what state the restrooms are in until the end of the night or until someone tells them.
I look at the floor of the dining area, and try to peek in the kitchen. I watch the servers, I peek at their station.

Not only bathrooms, but the general upkeep of the place. If floors are dirty, they most likely neglect other areas too.
Check out back too. Can be interesting to see.

Look for the condition of the whole dinner service.
By the way, the kitchen is job of the chef, and the bathrooms are another topic.

Check the restrooms......if they're clean then most likely the kitchen area is clean.
If they're a mess, then guess what about the kitchen/food prep. area!

My brother-in-law is a state inspector for NC he says that if a restaurant has below a 92 you DO NOT want to eat there. I could be anything from a roach problem to rats. The rating should be be posted in the restaurant.

Checking floors, bathrooms, the kitchen ( when can ), seeing if their workers use gloves ( taco bell's people DO NOT ), hairnets, and I even listen to their language. If they are bad about profanity, then we leave.
