I think Deanglo Williams when he matures has the best chance out of anyone currently in the league. Just watch, he already holds the NCAA record for career yards, 100 yd games, and is 4th all time in rush yards.

If the Seahawks can get better play out of their guards I would say Shaun Alexander. Larry Johnson has the talent, but the Chiefs offense is a mess. If Reggie Bush ever becomes the full time running back for the saints, he has a great shot. I also think Marshawn Lynch of the Bills is on the horizon, because he's big, physical, and is a great pass catcher. I guess LT has a great shot at breaking his own record too!

The Touchdown record is over rated but I would have to say LT will break his own record this year the only other player would be Larry Johnson of KC.
You should have ask who will ever break Eric Dickerson's single season Rushing Record. Remember they didn't play 16 games when he broke the record.

I'm sure that someone asked that same question when Emmitt Smith, Marshall Faulk, Shaun Alexander, etc. broke the TD record.
I think the player other than LT that would have the best chance would have to be Larry Johnson.
But, I'll be the first to say it.....watch out for Maurice Jones-Drew!

What can I say that everyone hasn't already said... LT can do it and right now he is the only one who can. His nose for the end-zone is so strong that the red zone is called the Gold zone for the chargers. LT just gets in. They should start adding his passing TDs as well! He score 2-3 a season.
The man is amazing (I really need anther one of his Jerseys) no one else compares!

Larry Johnson had a great year that season and might have a great season this year but I do'nt think anybody would break LT record. If LT wanted, he could break the record again.

It depends- I see a lot of talent in the Bronco Rookie Adrian Petersen, while tailbacks like Alexander and Julius Jones have the talent, but just don't get played enough or get injured. Personally, I think LT is the best RB in the game, but the firing of Schottenheimer will be the downfall of the Chargers.

well to find the answer to this question you have to look a mile high and right at a great running system. Thats right Travis Henry will break it this year, He is the perfect back for the perfect system. Oh yea and they have the best blocking tight-end in the game. Someone tell LT that his record isnt that great.

Dayum, my answer is already up there.
I truely believe that the only RB in the NFL right now that can touch what LT did last year is, of course, LT!
Go Bolts!

Larry Johnson is the only guy in the NFL not named Ladanian that would have a chance. This season, because the Chiefs o-line has been destroyed, that chance is between slim and none - leaning towards none.
