It depends on the size of the pump but it is pretty much the same. Larger pumps have usually 4 bolts or screws holding the head of the pump to the motor. Remove the bolts or screws and pull the head(discharge end) away from the motor. Then you can see the impeller that is attached to the shaft. Larger pumps have impellers attached to the shaft by a set screw. Loosen the set screw with an allen wrench and the impeller will pull off.

It needs to be added here that some impellers are threaded directly to the motor shaft. If that is the case you will probably need a strap wrench. Keep in mind that it may also be a left
hand thread.
