As wobbly belly says Ferrari own Fiat and as Y says they're rubbish, lol that's why I am on my fourth Punto in 20 years without one breakdown or problem. And the new Grande Punto is good looking and FAST!

The answer is NO, Fiat doesn't make any of the Ferrari cars and/or parts. As of 2007, the Fiat Group owns 85% of Ferrari, Mubadala 5%, and Enzo's son Piero 10%. But Fiat doesn't interfere in any way to the Ferrari production or design, or even management. That's why saying that a Ferrari is just a rebadged Fiat is totally wrong and not true ! Ferrari has a plant in Maranello, where it produces all the parts for the production models, and also assemblies the cars.

No FIAT own Ferrari, so what is developed in the Ferrari facturies will one day be standard ina a FIAT, like the Multijet engine.

Fiats are made by Fiat Auto (also make Alfa-Romeos, Lancias and Iveco commercials).
Fiat Auto is owned by Fiat group, which also owns a majority share of Ferrari (and Maserati).
Hence the companies are connected by common ownership, but neither one makes the other one's cars.

Yes, Fiat owns Ferrari. Makes you wonder really- why would people want to own a Ferrari when it is really a rebadged fiat. I'd rather own a reliant robin.
