Gender doesn't matter in that position - girls can certainly do it.
As for how you become one, you need to contact the team for which you'd like to serve. Some teams have the information on their web sites, while others don't. I would pick the team in which you're interested, and just contact them via a general phone number or e-mail address.
It never hurts to know someone, but "random" people do get chosen.

Most of the bat boys are either the coaches son or one of the players son. You could be a ball girl though. Colleges have ball girls and so do some pro teams. I guess you would contact the coach or ticket office or something.

if you own and no how to use a glove..try applying for a "ball shagger"-- I work at Miller Park part time and there are a few nicle lookin' young ladies that do that, they also warm up the out fielders.
Bat boys have to go into the locker rooms, I do not think they want young ladies in there.

yes but she is not part of the justice league. Only if superman lets her in or if wonder woman leaves. Cant have too many girls in there you know.
