Every child is different, and i hope that "parents" take that into consideration.. I did not have a curfew growing up, but i was asked to be accountable for my actions and whereabouts.. before i left i had to let my folks know what i was doing and when i would be home.. Giving me part of that responsibility encouraged an open, communicative, and trusting relationship with my folks.. I plan on doing the the same with my kids.. Now if i got my self into trouble i am sure they would have laid down the law.. Not to mention these days parents are held responsible for their kids actions.. I bet your folks are doing the best they can to teach you to be responsible.. If you disagree with there rules/curfew and talking to them doesn't get you what you want, try again when your not sooo angry.. My guess is they just love ya and are doing what they know best..

If children don't have curfews then the children will get out of hand and the parents won't be able to control them. Another reason would be that not all children want to go to sleep on time that they need to so the parents have to tell them what time to go to sleep so they can get enough sleep.

So their parents can go to sleep at night knowing they are safe. I know it sounds crazy, but they worry. All they can do is lat there and think of everything that might happen to you why they are sleeping. What are you, 14-15? No way should you be able to stay out later than 11:00- 12:00a.m. Trust me, when you reach the age of staying out all night, you will hate it. You will be absolutely sick of it. You will be saying I am going home and going to bed, I got to work tomorrow.
Enjoy being young and getting sleep.

Been There.

why are you asking this same question 1 day later?

Because you hated the answers given? Too Fing bad. Children need curfews. THERE IS NO..ABSOLUTELY NO reason why they should be allowed out late at night without one.

instead of repeating the same damn question over and over and over again, why don you offer up a GOOD REason why curfews are not needed?

because babies are born without morals....and children as they grow, if not taught to take responsibility, tend to think the world revolves around them..and them alone....

they grow into "I WANT THEREFORE I CAN HAVE" animals, not understanding, nor caring what another's needs might be.

basic rules, enforced, help the young person to understand there are consequences to their actions. raised without boundries, without a foundation of understanding the "rules" of society create havoc in adulthood.....

paris hilton is a good example....probably never been told "no" in her life....never had to actually deal with a consequence....she doesn't think society's laws apply...why would she? she has never been taught...

a curfew is a good place to reinforce that teaching process.... but not the beginning point by any means...

Because, for the most part, children are incapable of setting limits for themselves. It is a parent's responsibility to set limits for their children. This way children learn by example what is and is not appropriate behavior. Curfews are just one way to accomplish this.

Because until the age of at least 20, most teen's brains haven't grown to the point of using their frontal lobe to a mature adult level. Therefore they are incapable of making the correct decision or thinking things through clearly.

That's why.

I don't care what you are tired of hearing, kids have no business being out and about late at night...depends on the age of the child and what they are doing as to when an appropriate time to be in is.

There are too many risks for them and temptations at night...it's nothing less than foolish adn irresponsible to allow them out at all hours.

When they are older, mature, and responsible then they can stay out as late as they desire...just as we adults do. ☺

The later it gets, the more trouble young people tend to get in. Plus there is more criminals and drunks out and about in the wee hours so it's also to keep children safe.

Do they NEED them...No
Are they good..depends, keeps minors with nothing to do out of public trouble but also if parents would actually parent then would be a moot point
