Fred Thompson's undoing was revealed on Politico.com this morning (and picked up by Drudge).

Fred used to be a tort attorney for personal accident cases....just like John Edwards. Fred, while as senator, voted against legislation limiting personal accident judgements and limiting attorney fees.

In addition, he was previously a Teamster Union lobbyist and supported the McCain-Feingold campaign financing bill.

The Democrats won't have to beat Thompson with this juicy info, the other GOP candidates will do it for them.

Absolutely. He's in. And, Americans are pretty shallow. This guy is a great presence ... very tall (6'6"), good public speaker, deep booming voice, and thinks quick on his feet. Other candidates will have a hard time debating him.
