If you just get the oil changed as usual ASAP, you should be OK. I once went about that long to change my oil, just because I honestly didn't have the money, pathetic as that sounds. My car ran fine after I got it changed. Also, a lot of car guys say that the whole 3,000 miles thing is a bunch of crap, and you can really get about 5,000-6,000 miles out of an oil change, so it's not as bad as you thought.

Just get an oil change. I'm sure the engine is sludged. After you get an oil change, don't be surprised if the engine starts making "ticking" noises. "ticking" is bar enough, if you hear "knocking" noises your in trouble. You may have to get an oil and filter change every 500-1,000 miles just to wash out the sludge. But only about 2-3 times, after that do it every 3 month/3,000 miles which ever comes first. Good luck.

Whatever damage you might have done it is done. It doesn't get undone by flushing it.

Just get an oil change first. Get tune up type of maintenance (spark plug, PCV, air filter, EGR, etc.) People often make the mistake of confusing 2 problems as 1. You might just have an old dying battery (hard start). I once had a battery die so slowly I thought it was tons of other things (starter, etc.). Got a new battery and everything was solved.
Try solving one problem at a time.
Oil change for the old oil.
Tune up for engine running rough / badly
check battery for hard start.

You shouldnt wait that long ever to get your oil changed it gums up the engine. Get your oil changed and stay on the 3,000 miles in between. Hate to say it but it does sound like your now going to have issues with this engine. You need to get it totally cleaned and what ever is ruined replaced. If you wait too long again you taking the chance of blowing the engine completely and it is expensive.

Get it changed immediately. My sister had to have her engine rebuilt because she never changed the oil. You should change your fluids regularly but don't wait any more. You probably should add an oil cleaner to clean out the muck. I think they recommend having a cleaner added every 3 oil changes (provided you are on the 3000 mile plan) so about every 9k miles.

Get the oil changed and check your fluids. You will probably need a new air filter ($10). Have your tires rotated every 15,000 miles. Also, if that car is constantly being driven, you may need some additional flushes (coolant, tranny, etc) and check your spark plugs.

Have the oil changed right away, or the engine will seize up, the car will be completely ruined. It will cost under $40 to have the oil changed.

ok. you need to change the oil ASAP! you are going to start doing damage to your engine if you dont get it changed.
it is very im portant to change the oil and oil filter every 3000-5000 miles. since you said your husband drives it hard i would go with 3000 miles. most oil starts to break down after 5000 miles. less with harder driving. unless you use an extended life oil. i would recommend using full synthetic oil. it is less likely to break down as easily as regular oil when driving hard on you car

oils have detergents in them to help protect the engine. after about 3,000 miles these start to wear out. thus getting your oil changed every 3000 miles is recomended. if you don't, it is very hard on the engines pistons, crank, cam, etc.. if you do mostly highway driving, it's easier on the car and oil and i would let it go to 5000miles max. for city driving, never over 3000

are you gona break a record or something?
the oil change are suppose to 3000 miles or 3 months what happens first
at that millage anything can happen you are almost to blow engine soon enough
to avoid this you have to flush engine, (regular oil change don't do a thing) and pray it works...
