A good friend has asked me to support his business venture by bidding on a loan for him at prosper.com. I already know his business works, I've watched it. I also have a lot of faith in his partners, who are pros at what they do. So, I trust him, just not sure how it works to do it the way he wants. Anybody have any success with doing a prosper loan? Any precautions I should take? Other routes? Thanks! http://www.prosper.com/lend/listing.aspx?listingID=149598&utm_source=referrer-unknown&utm_medium=referral-link&utm_content=bid_on_my_listing_on-150x60&utm_campaign=referrals-listing

I have lent money on Prosper.

Yes, it is legit.

My only problem is that I got greedy and I lent a little money to people with really bad credit who were offerring a high interest rate. People who have bad credit have bad credit for a reason; they don't pay their bills.

If you personally know the borrower and you trust him, go for it.

I'm a lender and a borrower through Prosper. I've had no problems and I'm very happy. As with any investment, you need to check it out. If you review the listings carefully, you'll be able to see which are worth bidding on. Check out the Heroes Group at BMZ.com. If you sign up now, you'll get $25 back.

Good Luck.

The listing looks okay, but probably won't get funded. You could both benefit from a good group. Check out the Heroes Group at www.BMZ.com. As a lender, you'll get back $25.00 if you sign up through BMZ.com

Good Luck.
