Is society telling you to marry, probably not, right? But the reason you want to marry is what? love, support, companionship? Society has nothing to do with it. It is your life and the woman you want to marry. You are an individual and you have free choice. Society doesn't live your life for you so what difference does it make what they say about it.
Also there are websites that can give you info about a surrogate mother candidate. Just be careful and check the site out with the Better Business Bureau or talk to an attorney about it. Congratulations! Live long and free!

Let us not bother about the society. The reason U want to marry is to have companion and friendship at this age (U require). If you are a good heart person please do not bother about the society. Do not confuse any more. You can adopt a child with the concern of your new partner. Your LIFE is always YOURS. You LIVE for yourself that too HERE and NOW. All the best in your life. Yours VRVRAO

At 56 or at any age, you should be able to find love and happiness with a woman that you are attracted to and fall in love with. It doesn't matter what society says or thinks. It is not wrong falling in love with another human being, no matter what your age is, you still have feelings and desire companionship. If you want a child at this late date in your life, it would depend upon whether your partner wants a child as much as you do. If that be the case, I would suggest adopting. But, in my humble opinion, I would enjoy each other, travel together, go to concerts, have fun together and not complicate your life with a child. A child takes a lot of energy and that is why god gives children to those that are younger than your age, not that you are old . . . . . I am older than you! Best of luck with your life.

I think you should be the first person to answer this question to find out if there's anything wrong in your decision. It is you who decide what is right or wrong for yourself. You should be ready to face all circumstances because I am sure, you know very well that it is your future, your happiness and most importantly, it is your life which you'll have to live. If you are not ready to face any 'criticism'; just wanting to be a Mr. Right in the eyes of the society, you might as well leave the whole dream. Stand up and be strong man!!

I think it would be fine for you to get married. You are never too old to start a new life or a new relationship. I think it's just a matter of finding someone that you are compatible with and feels the same way about children that you do. Adoption is also a possibility for you. Good luck,.

Give it a rest a 63 year old family man shouldn't be putting any energy into winning the love and lasting friendship of a 56 year old widow.

society will think of you as a bad person. this is not because you are a bad person or marrying a widow is bad or giving life and support to another person is bad. Society will think of you as a bad person since you are marrying at the age of 56.

Society has a blind eye against "individual" and "personal" reasons and will never understand your individual and personal reasons for your decision.

i am only 34 yrs old and I live in India. But I am smart enough to know this.

if you have not felt in love with her then don't go to marry with her. you can adopt to her as daughter and give to her your life
BUT
If you have felt in LOVE with her and she also then don't care about society and enjoy to live in your love.
use camel (female)milk daily and enjoy sex and by that method you can get a baby from her
