MMMk. SO i'm leaving for CA in like a week? and i have four betas 3 males and a female all in seperate tanks. Should i put them outside in the backyard in a shed so my moms friend can feed them? We dont want her in our house(trust me). Would it be better to leave outside the shed? The only problem is bugs and dirt particles and we have a dog and two cats. Suggestions? Ideas?

I would not leave them outside, they will get too hot and possibly die. All of the bettas should be fine if left for a week without food. Bettas in the wild live in puddles in africa so they can do well with little food. I would place them in an area where there will be some light but if you have a light on each tank I would not keep it on because the water will get too hot and kill the fish. Hope this helps

In the shed should work fine assuming it will not get too hot nor too cool in the shed. Bugs etc won't be a problem, but the cats could if they can get to the tanks.

I think the best solution would be take them to the friends house if that possible. Other wise go with what you can.

I would say you could just leave them at your mom's friend's house. They only have to be fed once a day, and either way it would be her feeding them. I would not leave them outside, shed or not. And also, they should be able to live a few days without food. So if you're not gone to long, you could just leave them be. Feed them before you leave and when you get back.

How long are you going to be in CA? If it's just for a few days, the fish will be fine not being feed in that time period, but if it's for longer, then I would consider taking them to her house instead. Maybetaking them to a different friends house.

Dont put them in the shead theyll die. Too cold. Infact your bettas dont need fed for the week. Fish can survive for two weeks, so yours will be ok for one week. Just feed them before you go. And if you dont want to do that, Why doesnt your mums friend take them to her house./?

What if you brought the tanks to your moms friends house? If you trust her enough to feed them, then I am assuming you trust her enough to keep them at her place.

you could probably bring it to a pet store and they could take care of them for a little while
