how do you meet the actors that were in the musical?

well,i am planning on going to new york this summer with my dad and brother. i was wondering on how to meet the actors after a broadway play since i have had friends who have done that. thank you!

You wait by the stage door after the show. If you want autographs, have a pen and paper or your program ready. Be patient and don't be surprised if they have to rush off. They do this 8 times a week and their time is limited to do other things!

You have to go to the stage door after the musical. Ummm...make sure that you get there quick so that you may get to the front, but usually they all stick around and are very nice to give everyone a signature, picture or whatever. Have lots of fun, and remember that the best way to get to see a celebrity is to push yourself through the crowd. It may seem rude but personally I'm willing to be rude for a few minutes to catch a glimpse of someone special.

Find out where the stage door is beforehand, and when the play is over get out to the stage door as fast as you can-- it can get crowded. Remember that the actors have to get out of costume and makeup so it might take a while before they come out. Have a pen and your program ready for them-- a thin tip Sharpie is better than a ballpoint. Be courteous but don't gush at them, that can be annoying.
