seriously, some of these questions are valid and posted by people that actually are wanting to learn about people different from them and all the replies they get are people calling them racist. if people are not free to talk about these things then nobody will learn and nobody will understand and the human race will not get anywhere because everybody will be too busy calling eachother racist to listen and try to understand one another. why even give a crap if it is racist. its just some retard posting things anonomously on the net.

Sometimes they DO sound racist, but I DO agree with you, and it's because those people are just too immature to even try and answer...they really just don't have an answer...so just try and ignore those and listen to the people that actually TRY and answer.

I hate it when people act like that! (I will probably be called a racist for typing "people") They need to realize that this is a different time. We don't act the same way we did 40 years ago. Not everything that comes out of our mouths is a racial slur. Hopefully some day everyone will realize that what you said about understanding the race can only happen by being open and not being offensive.

Race/racism and the way people approach it are so strange to me. In my eyes race is such an irrelevant thing. Of course it can have an effect on how people may or may not perceive you, but generally, race issues are taken WAY too seriously. For example, the way that many african americans call each other *****/*****/ho and thats ok within their culture, but if another race attempted to use these words in the same manner, it would be considered RACIST. In my opinion this is racism in itself. Or sometimes referred to as reverse racism. It's a learned kind of racism and is only around because this kind of attitude is passed down and overlooked because many people feel scared or intimidated. Bah....I'm australian and we have the same issues here with the aboriginal culture. On the net especially, people are cowardly, and are just looking to boost their own ego/ponit of view many times. IGNORE....It's just stupid. People who reply or initiate this kind of crap are either really stupid or just don't have anything important in their lives to do.

I agree with Bonnie. It is usually how things are written that affect how the conversation goes. We can't see emotion on your face, right? or hear it in your voice, right? So when people write they need to be descriptive and let others know it is for learning purposes. If for instance you use all caps and exclamations people will think you are yelling at them.
Some people of course just want to throw stones, that is human nature. When you can move past that and find a solution is when you become civilized. I personally think name calling is ignorant. people who can get their point across without name calling are usually more educated.

Cause there are trolls sitting around waiting for someone to ask a question about race. They constantly refresh the S&C page all day.....so they can call "racists" ignorant names. They are just the same a racists and certainly more pathetic

Race is a nonsense, it doesn't exist, that's basically slow variations in genetic makeup over distance. yet it really isn't any longer the reason human beings get dissatisfied by the race questions! the reason human beings get dissatisfied by maximum persons of race questions is the way they are requested. maximum of such questions concerning the following both preposition the question (i.e. that's my perspective and that i want solutions from well matched human beings), or they are phrased in such away as to inspire bigotry from respondees. Oh and the third situation, is an finished miscomprehension of societies and cultures in protecting with false impression, lack of ordinary understanding/information, and media stereotyping. in case you want to ask such questions, do not preposition, ask open certainly phrased questions, and verify out no longer to placed on your lack of archives on your sleeve.

Maybe that's because they are stuck on all the pain that the past holds, or the question was fomulated in a way they found insulting.

that's the problem with racism...it's so out of hand that an innocent question can be taken the wrong way. I would suggest you try to make friends with other cultures...then ask them personally...There are too many cry babies here.
