That's very wrong and a double standard. I would just say don't make out in school and report everyone else you see. So that the rules stay consistent, I would even say that to the principal/whomever when you get into trouble. They can't single you out, as that's discrimination. But seriously you shouldn't really be making out in school... wait till after school! good luck! :)

No it should not be illegal. We should have every right just like straight people. If straight couples do not get into trouble, then neither should you!
Your going to have many cases like this. Many schools do not allow "gay couples" to go together to school dances. They have to purchase separate tickets rather than buy a couples ticket. Because they will say that gay/lesbian couples cannot attend the dance. In 10th grade, one of my good friends was banned from homecoming for trying to take her g/f. It was soo sad!
Stay strong and good luck!

If you do exactly what other couples do, it's blatant discrimination.
Hopefully you are out to your parents, and they support you. That will help a lot if you decide to challenge this. You may want to get them to talk to the principal with you. Don't hesitate to get the superintendent and school board involved, either. And then there's the school newspaper. Maybe you and/or your girlfriend can write a letter or editorial?
If you can't do any of this, I do understand completely. I know I couldn't have as a kid.
Hope they come around.
PS--If you challenge it, be prepared for the possibility of mixed-gender couples losing their privileges rather than you gaining them--and the straight kids getting upset. But a gay inmate in a California jail just got conjugal visit rights, so think of that, too.

No, making out with living thing that doesn't object shouldn't be illegal, but I think your question is about school rules and not laws.
The school's appropriate response to your legitimate and valid objection would be to ban all making out on school grounds. But, think a minute. Then you and your GF still couldn't make out and many, many straight couples will be seriously angry with you for ruining their fun. This may be the point at which tolerance for your "alternate lifestyle" becomes strained. That doesn't mean you aren't right and shouldn't do it, but you need to know what you may be getting into.

It's not a question of legality. Or, shouldn't be. It's just a matter of common sense and taste. Straight couples are making a scene if they make out in the hallway (can't they find a place where they're not so public?). It's just asking for trouble, and they know it. Triple that for yourself.
Rightly or wrongly, there are a large number of people who are uncomfortable with gay lifestyles, and you know it. If you flaunt your choices, then you have to expect people to react to them.
Pick your battles. If you want to fight for your right to make out in public places, go for it. Otherwise, you might consider showing a bit more class than the horny heteros.

Its 100% wrong! People in your school are obviously homophobic. Why don't you try turning in a straight couple who you see making out and see if the school takes the same actions against them as they do against you. If not, you could have a lawsuit.

Although I don't think that one should be okay over the other this coming from a lesbian myself; I think making out in school is inappropriate regardless of who it is. It's not the place or time for such conduct to be going on. You kids are there to learn and it's not a weekend excursion or a trip to the mall. Save that stuff for your own time. However it is discrimination and it should not go ignored.

If it's not wrong for a boy to kiss a girl in public, then why is it wrong for two girls, or for that matter two boys to kiss in public. In my opinion, there should be a total ban on public displays of affection, but again this may be a total impossibility since hugging, is also a display of affection.

It should be illegal for anybody to make out in the hallways at school. That is to distracting to the other students.

There is nothing the school can do, but punish you for inappropriate behavior. If you girls are getting in trouble for kissing, then I would see if heterosexual couples are too. If the heterosexual couples aren't getting in trouble for kissing, then I would sue the school. This is discrimination and needs to be handled.
