Is it just me or are more and more people--especially girls--wearing crosses around their necks? It seems that the cross is a lot more popular than, say, 20 years ago. What do you think? Is the cross even making a comeback among men?

I don't think they are right now. I remember they were big a couple of years back, like in 2001 or 2002. I haven't seen anyone wearing them in a while though... I still have 3 of them that I bought back then. As for guys, I really don't think so. Not a lot of guys wear necklaces period, and I personally haven't seen a single guy wearing a cross necklace...ever.

a cross has never been out of style.. People are just showing more neck than they use to....
Men wearing a cross is as acceptable as women, it is a matter of taste.
Gaudy with heavy chains and huge cross or a dainty one, in any metal, with or without stones is most acceptable and can be worn any time.
It is usually thought of as a christian symbol and if that is your purpose, wear it proudly......

I have noticed many people starting to wear crosses around their neck. I truly hope it is more because of their faith and not because it is a fashion statement.

I just got one for my wife, at her request -- which suprised me a little. Based on that, I'd say yes (to your question).,
