The first time I watched it it looked so real. The second time I watched it I saw it was fake but I am not sure how they faked it. By the way why would he fake his death there are other good ways to get ratings.

the limo exploded Saturday night and a videotape of that was shown Monday
they did it at 11 o’clock at night until 3 a.m., so no one would be around adding that it was done in a section generally blocked from public view by the building and surrounding land features.

Good stunt job. When McMahon got into the limo you'll notice his foot still on the ground. Then, it leaves the ground for a second or so. At this time there is a fake foot placed on the ground and then lifted. This made it appear as though he was still in the car. Then, the door is shut by a string. At the same time Vince is escaping the limo. The side you can't see. One of two things happend at that time. Either he left the other side or he went underneath to a safe box. At the right moment, a button pushed by a pyrotechnician detonated a controlled explosion.
Nothing new for stunt men to pull off.
It's no big deal for Vince to spend 20 or 30k on a good gag. If he were really dead, the media would be all on it. As it is, only WWE.com has any info on it.

Last night’s stunt with Vince McMahon being blown up in the limousine was actually filmed Sunday evening. WWE brought in an outside stunt company to come in and set the entire thing up. The stunt was planned over the last two weeks, with WWE having to obtain a few permits.
When McMahon walked outside and got in the limo last night, it was live but they spliced the cable to show the taped footage. For fans coming out of the arena last night they had the burnt limo husk from the one used in the stunt on display.
WWE.com is going along with the storyline that forensic experts are examining the limo for the remains of Mr. McMahon’s body.

they taped the explosion the night before. when vince got in the limo that was a live shot then they spliced in the footage of the explosion from the night before. when people left the arena they caught the limo back on fire. by the way alot of people saw vince leave in another limo. he faked his death to get rid of the mr. mcmahon carachter.

They did a damm good job of it.If you read the web sites it tells you that the car was blowen up a week ago and combined with live footage.Maybe Vince wants to take some time off.Hopefully it is a good long time.

wat they did is they film an empty limo exploding on sunday and then on monday night they cut to the film from sunday night just after vince got into the car!! i dont yet understand the reason behind them doing this if vince wanted time off then he could have just not been around for a few months!!

THE LIMO WAS BLOWN UP ON SUNDAY AT NIGHT. THE SEEN WAS SPLICED. SOME FANS SAW HIM LEAVE IN ANOTHER LIMO. THE ORIGINAL LIMO WAS SET ON FIRE AGAIN AFTER HE WENT IN & GOT OUT. IT'S SORT OF A SPOOF OF WHO SHOT J.R. ON DALLAS IN THE 1980'S.
IT ALSO PLAYED OFF ON THE POOR SOPRANO ENDING THOUGH IT WAS PLANNED WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
