This is obviously not for any malicious or illegal intent. I think everyone has a right to privacy... This does not mean that what I would be putting in there was illegal or I would be hiding anything from the law...

depends on ur car bro... what's the stash for? how SAFE do you want it? do you want it to be easily accesible to you? try something that u can unbolt easily.. that way when our good cop friends arrive they won't tell you to unbolt anything.. they never do anyways and as for the person that mentioned dogs... how often has he been pulled over and have had dogs sniff his car? later.

Ok, let's assume you want this for entirely innocent purposes: like your worried about something valuable being stolen or you want to hide something that's not-illegal like girlie mags so your mom doesn't find them etc..like the previous post - the cops have seen it all, if it's illegal they'll find it.
for small stuff: how about:
behind/under the open-able portion of the glove box compartment.
In the seat back or under the foam.
In the truck if there's removable access panels to access tail lights, etc.

well, i agree that a dog could find anything. but w. that said, i did have afriend once who had a pretty good one.. ( you know to stash money!) it was right above his door where the fabric on the ceiling meets that plastic that holds it together, well it was kinda able to be pulled up a little and he would put hius money there and push it back to hold it! good luck tho buddy! he has been to prison a few times! dont think this was why but still!

Who do you think you are? James Bond? There is no way to make an undetectable "secret" hiding place in a car with today's technology, drug-sniffing dogs, scanners that detect firearms and explosives, etc. you aren't going to be able to hide a thing. It's not worth the effort - forget it!!
