Yes we will make the playoffs. We have an easy schedule the rest of the season. I think we will win 10 games, maybe 11. The defense needs to step up. Last year the offense was ranked dead last but the defense was like 15-18. This year we have a top 5 offense but the defense is dead last. Go figure right??? But what is good is that we proved to the steelers that we can play them now. We almost won IN PITTSBURG. I think we will get to the playoffs and have to play Pitsburg again, in Puttsburg. We should be able to beat them by about 5 points this time!!! But then we will run into the Patriots and get beat, but this is a huge step for us. Next year will should be in the AFC Championship game, and in 2 years we will win the SUPER BOWL!!!!

Hey, that's a great question. I was curious of that myself. This was the best I could possibly find.
"Since debuting in 1946, the Browns' uniforms have essentially remained the same. However, the team originally wore white helmets before switching to orange (with a white center stripe.) on a full-time basis in 1952. (In the 1950 & '51 seasons, the Browns wore the white helmets in day games and plain orange helmets in night games because of an NFL rule prohibiting the use of white or light-colored helmets for night games because of the lighting and the use of a white football for night games."

Just a guess here:
Early Browns coach Paul Brown was a high school coach at Massillon (an hour south of Cleveland) a number of years before taking the Browns job. The Massillon Tigers are orange and black (like the Bengals--see the connection?). Ol' Paul must have loved the colors, but since the name of the team was "Browns" you gotta have brown in there, so orange and brown it was.

For decades, NFL teams held their training camps at college campuses (today, most teams have their own private practice facilities). Some still do. In the 1940's when the Browns were founded, they held their training camps at Bowling Green State University in Northwest Ohio. Legend has it that Paul Brown liked BGSU's orange-and-brown color scheme so much because it reminded him of his coaching days at Massilon High School that he decided to adopt it for the pro team. Later, after Brown was fired by Art Modell, Brown took the color scheme of the Massilon Tigers with him once again to the then-AFL's Cincinnati Bengals (early Bengal uniforms did not have the stripes that we are so familiar with). In short, both the Browns & Bengals owe their color schemes to BGSU and Massilon High School!

Contrast, I'd assume. Brown is pretty boring by itself.
But NFL colors are strange sometimes. You could also ask me where I've ever seen a blue Ram with gold horns or a red, white and blue Buffalo and I could only shrug..

First of all, they aren't named the Browns for the color. They're named for the founder, Paul Brown.
They could just as easily be blue and white.
