Would it kill then to think of different ways to start a sentence?

Most people are just annoying for even starting a sentence no matter what the first words are. ;)

That doesn't annoy me, but these do:

1. I have a friend of mine.
2. The two twins (well, if there aren't two of them, how many are there?)

My husband hates weathermen who talk about weather systems that "move on off the coast"--they either move on or they move off.

i dont know why, but that doesnt bother me, i would understand the point that they are trying to get across, and i would answer them in full, and not bother making fun of the way they start sentences.
