They would be appalled if they actually bothered to read what it says.

He was a liberal and alot of liberals are more Christian than FDR. So yes, they would have liked the prayer. The ACLU never stopped or try to stop any president from saying prayers. The ACLU was around during FDR as well.

You've got to remember that the era of FDR was totally different than today's.
This is why republicans are doing badly-too stuck in the old days and reluctant to change.
However, now that we libs have infiltrated your party, if Mitt Romney or Rudy Guliani get the white house, all that will change VERY soon.

Liberals would have loved FDRs prayer, as many liberals do pray. Liberals just don't like when your religious beliefs are so strong, that you must make it a government law that I must follow your religious beliefs - even if I'm another religion. Liberals love religion enough to observe it and practice it. Neocons love their religion enough to enforce it on others and require it. Kind of like Iran.

FDR is as close to a God as anyone since Jesus Christ has come.
I like him too. I see your point, and I think the ACLU does indeed have a tinfoil hat mission to shut down select people -- religious folk being among those targeted.

Yes, because unlike the Republicans of today, FDR's prayers were genuine and not a phony show.

It might have been good of you to repeat it.
America today is much more religiously diverse (or non-adherent) so it would be less appropriate today.
Roosevelt also said, privately, to an aide, "America is a Protestant country, and the Catholics and the Jews are here under sufferance." I bet YOU like that attitude!
