What's so funny about being a beekeeper, it's a good job the world needs bees and honey. Tell her straight of if you're secretive she will start to distrust you. If she laughs (she might at first) if it is a problem then move on.

Here's a way to spin it.. Tell her "I work with birds and the bees, the flowers and the trees". Or.."I am a pollination expert". You actually have an interesting and important job.
I once pretended to be a lobsterman to a couple gals I chatted up in a bar in Maine. Don't know why. Just wanted to see the reaction I guess. It was an immediate turn-off. It's probably best to put a spin on what you do so as to be part of the flirtation rather than just stating your official job title.

Why be ashamed if you are a beekeeper. That is an honest
job. You are better off than many who rely on some people
who earn their living by dishonest ways, And I don't think a
girl will laugh or be turn off if you describe your job in a very
positive way.

no way thats awesome. if the girl is gonna judge you cuz of that than she is definitly not worth your time. it is a particularly important job nowadays becasue of the bee shortage. at least that's what i heard through the grapevine. maybe don't use the word beekeeper, just explain what you do. maybe ask her to come see what you do if she would like. tell her they won't sting if you act accordingly and wear the right equipment. anyhoo, good luck with the womenfolk! :)

I dunno what kind of girls you have been goin for but my first impression upon reading the question was:" Really? Cool."
Maybe Its just the term beekeeper that makes them laugh. It is a little silly. Try saying that you work with bees in honey production......that sounds a little more professional.
P.S.- if a girl thinks your job is funny or uncool then she doesn't deserve ya man. I think your job is awesome.

I can't believe it's ruined many relationships... I think it's ace, mate! Gives you an advantage - a bit different! It's better than saying "I'm an account balancer" or "I'm a filing clerk"...

any girl that is going to laugh, well then do you really want to be with someone so shallow? they might be surprised which, just because it's an unique job- so don't mistake their surprise for them laughing at you. Hey a lot of girls complain because their guy doesn't even have a job, so your at least ahead of those guy! don't waste your time on shallow girls, k? go find one that doesn't care what you do and just likes being with you.
