No, it is not right. I said humanity is to blame. If you think the word "blame" is used in a supportive tone then you need to brush up on your grasp of the English language.

Also... drive-by shootings are not just a West-side gang thing. Do you know how many drive-by shootings there were by white racists, during the civil rights period?

Racism is perpetuated by people who live in ignorance and choose to remain so.We must realize that hatred wears many faces not just a select group.I don't know too much about statistics but I do know that people can manipulate the "facts" to support whichever position you take.Hatred is a learned behaviour and every effort must be taken to stop children from learning such attitudes. As parents we have a responsibility to raise our children to feel secure enough today so they can dream about a future with hope.In a driveby shooting, the bullet does not know the race of the target. The shooter is aware an innocent bystander may become a victim of their hatred but that does not stop this type of crime. We cannot ignore the fact that certain crimes may be represented by certain groups. The gang culture is represented by many races.Crime does not restrict itself to one group.Social change starts with each one of us,each and every day.

I don't think your question makes sense with your example. You say that is it human nature to hurt and kill one another, which I agree with, but she is asking about why doesn't the world call it what it is.

Your talking more general and she's asking in this instance.

Sometimes it is a racial issue and sometimes its not and that's human nature.
