Why is there a Culture of Death and Destruction prevalent in our World Today? What can be done to change this Self-Destructiveness against Ourselves and Others?

never happen to many ignorant and power hungry people the power hungry like Bush start wars for more wealth and power and the ignorant people follow like the troops who become some what brainwashed, to believing what they are doing is right, while too few realize it is wrong and refuse to fight and get court marshaled. All while most civilians stand back with their thumb up their ***, and and their finger in their nose.

What makes you think that there is anything new about this. Ever heard of the dark ages in Europe, the inter-tribal wars in Africa, China's mistreatment of other Asians, the massacres taking place during the establishment of the Ottoman empire, Hitler, Napoleon, Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, etc, etc,.....

I don't think it just began today, history shows this has happed thoughout human kinds' existience. Consider how we gained control of the New World from the native American Indians! Humans are just ruthless.

just keep on rebuilding like we are doing in Iraq..and protect the innocent Kurds..

you do know we have a mission to rebuild it don't you?
rebuilding after years of UN sanctions and oppression of the poor by Saddam's elite class..

the Dems don't have the market cornered on strategic bombing..as they want everyone to believe.

that's the character of our species to compete against one yet another in the race to apply the ecosystem. conflict and the ever-increasing destructiveness of conflict are the consequence of our skill to strengthen ever greater useful technologies of destruction. it is not liable to alter till a adequate proportion of the inhabitants realizes the survival value of empathy and compassion for others, the two for conserving our species and for keeping our international.
