With the exception of modern science, which tends to be forms of magic within itself, has there ever been documented occurrences of alchemy or a happening in which cannot be duplicated by anyone other than the person doing it or someone similarly trained? Things like Alchemy or Spontaneous Occurrence.

It has been documented but, most consider these writing to be bs. I myself have performed and seen magic work and I'm not talking card tricks. It does take patience and time. You need to remember that all through history anyone who proclaimed to do magic would probably be hung or burned. Now we'd be laughted at or thought crazy or eccentric.

You are a magician. I am of the Lore. You truly believe in the tricks of magic. I truly believe in the reality of Magick. You want proof. Why? You will not believe anyway. Much of Magick is knowledge of nature and outcomes. You war against flash bangs while I help a bird protect its eggs. You saw people in half, while I give them an oil and some words that sooth and bring happiness. You offer entertainment. I offer help and protection. The world looks out at "true power," every day, but it is subtle and the world ignores the subtle. Children speak of dragons rising from the earth. The Lore speaks of worms to aerate and fertilize the earth. Magicians are self-confessed frauds. Those of the Lore use the truths of Magick. Magicians put on an act. Those of the Lore act to help the needy and the Earth. Child, go back to toy tricks, you would not have the patience to study any part of the Lore.

There was a guy named Nicholas Frommel who is hugely popular in the Alchemy circles. Some say he discovered the Philosopher's stone and that's why he became so rich and books were published using his name centuries after his time. Others say he became rich b/c he married wealthy widow and made some wise land deals And that books written later were by Joe Schmoe and his name (Nicholas') was used to sell the books.
Houdini did amazing tricks but swore they were only that-I just wrote a ques about whether what he did was 'just a trick' like he claimed or there was special ability 'magic-?) used.

Madnoelle--Houdini actually devoted a great deal of time to debunking those who claimed 'real' magical powers. He exposed many John Edwards-types of the day for the charlatans they were.

Theres a story, I believe true, that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes creator [who absolutely believed in the Cottingly fairies!] tried insisting to Houdini that whether he [Houdini] knew it or not, he really did have 'real' magical powers to perform his stunts. Even after Houdini explained exactly how one trick was done!

WOH! Science is definitely not magic. Some magicians may have studied alchemy but I would not say that it was a magical art. Merlin certainly was a powerful and skilled sorcerer, but most wizards and witches today are not nearly as talented. Only someone who is not magical them self would speak of whether there is evidence of this sort of magic (sorcery).

The Biblical examples given below are NOT magical they are God given marvels or miracles, Jesus was NOT a wizard he was God in human form. People sometimes mistake Jesus' marvels as being magical when in fact they are actual above magic.

Once you understand how magick operates you understand that it is, in fact, very scientific. Magic is very much alive and well. Take a look at :*Angels: Companions in Magick* for a very well written book on the matter--do the practices and then you'll know for yourself that it is real and effective.

Have fun. Remember, though, that "negative magick" has its repercussions. The book noted is only about positive workings. :)))

No..magic is not real. It's fun to read about or see in movies, but magic doesn't exist! Science is not magic.
