i'm almost 20 years old and i have found a couple of spider veins on my thighs...i have not had any children and i'm not over weight. what causes them? how can i get rid of them or stop them from coming? they arent that noticable yet but i keep finding more, i've counted 4

I hate to say it, but a major cause of spider veins has to do with genetics...Besides that and pregnancy, you can start developing them if you sit or stand without moving for a prolonged time. They are also caused by some injuries, like bruises, that don't heal properly. As far as I know there is no way to get rid of them besides laser treatment by a doctor.

It may run in your families genes . They can also form by standing too long maybe at a job? Try to elevate your legs a few times a week to relieve the pressure on your legs and wear support hose .

Its about 90% genetics and 10% outside factors like poor circulation and improper care of your body.

they are caused when blood stops flowing through them like when you cross your legs A LOT. i have that tendency of crossing my legs and now i have spider veins- YUCK! i just caught myself doing it now lol...
