No, the runner who first occupied the base is entitled to it. If the fielder tags the one who just got to the base then he will be out.

Certainly, and Ryan R has the only correct answer ( so far ). As long as neither runner has been tagged with the ball, two runners can occupy the same base at the same time without being out.

I will give you an interesting side note. When you see this occur notice that the defensive player will tag both runners on the base and will leave it to the umpire to call one of them out. This is because he might not be sure which runner has the right to the base, and if he tags only one runner, and it's the wrong one, the other runner can run forward or backward to an unoccupied base and if he can get there before being tagged he is safe. I actually saw this happen in a game years ago.

No. Only the runner entitled to the base can be on the base. If it is not a force out situation, the runner currently occupying the base would be entitled to it, and the runner not on the base could be tagged out.

Sure, as long as the defense doesn't tag the runner who has no rights to the base.

Only until a fielder arrives with the ball. Then one of them will be out, because he won't be entitled to be there.
The requirement of not passing another runner still applies, too, so they'd better not jostle too much while deciding which one has to vamoose.

Yes.....only if:
1. One of you is planning on beating the rundown.
2. One of you is planning on being out in the next few seconds.
3. One of you is planning on getting yelled at by the manager/coach in the next few seconds.
4. One of you is planning on pushing your teammate off the base in the next few seconds.
5. ...and finally, both of you are standing on the base and their ISNT a game going on.
