Garcia. He's an easy personality and good at leading a solid team, like he did in San Francisco before the organization decided to move on in a different direction. Garcia is Gruden's kind of guy anyway. Many similarities can be drawn from Garcia to Rich Gannon. Give Garcia two years to coach Simms up and he'll be the quarterback for years to come. He's has the talent, we all know that. Just like he has the genes. But before he got hurt, he played every game like he was back at Texas in the Red River Shootout, He looked very confused at times, the offense had to rely on Cadillac Williams to many times during the season, which is why he wasn't at tip top form like he was his rookie year. But Garcia for now. And don't rule out Jake the Snake showing up for Training Camp either. And i wouldn't be surprise if Culpepper joins the fold pretty soon.

The best QB on the roster is Garcia. He is 37, let Simms learn from Garcia for this year. Simms did nothing as the starter last year before he was hurt. Garcia had a decent 2nd half last year after replacing McNabb.

Garcia will give them the best chance to win this year. He will do really well in Grudens offense. Give Simms a year to heal some more he will be the man for Tampa next year.
Garcia is the pick

Jeff Garcia needs to start this year and teach Chris Simms how to play as a starter again

Garcia hands down because if they start Chris Simms he will probably end up getting injured. If you saw the way Jeff Garcia played last year then you would know he deserves to start.

Gruden prefers Older experienced QBs for his system, so he will be starting Garcia come opening day. I think Garcia was a benefit of the west coast offence style, and will be a good fit for Gruden, but he is way past his prime and not will not repeat what he did last season with Philly. Sims is the logical choice as he is the future of the franchise at QB and has been sucessful when healthy for the bucs. He got them into a playoff game, last season he played with a ruptured spleen for them. The kid deserves to start. Bruce is just a second or third string career backup who is good at spot duty if need be.

From what I've seen Garcia.
He's a player.
Simms hasn't shown anything, even going back to college when Mack Brown had him starting over Applewhite.
I don't see:
Leadership
Poise
Ability to read defenses
Any other skill that's better than average for an NFL QB.
Garcia has shown he can win and has put up some outrageous numbers--league leading numbers.
Simms hasn't shown anything.
